We exist as drops in the waters of Existence. As we move, our actions create harsh ripples around our feet, but as the rings of effect expand outwards through the expanse of All That Is, the torrent eventually recedes into a gentle wave. Softly lapping against the shores of the universes, it becomes only a memory of the maelstrom that created it, like the feel of slowly waking to the sounds of a distant storm. The year is 2017. Cybertron is restored, and the Decepticons banished to the outer reaches of the universe. Optimus and newly re-born Rodimus co-command the Autobot forces and are slowly rebuilding their race as well as guiding Earth into the intergalactic trade market. As the Earth slowly finds its galactic footing, the Autobots also discover themselves settling more and more into the role of Protectors, not just of Earth but of the entire Sol System and much of the galaxy beyond. But even in the seeming calm there are stirrings, for somewhere in the distance echoes the sound of thunder...
